CAFfeine exists to support artists who are working at a professional level, have a unique artistic “voice” and are actively engaged in an ongoing exploration and development of contemporary themes and ideas. The artists involved in the group have had their work displayed in commercial galleries, museums, and national arts publications; many have won awards for their work, and all have an immediately recognizable style and artistic vision.

We welcome applications for membership from artists who have reached a similar level of professional experience and who are working in a contemporary style.

Application for membership is a two part process. Step one is the application form and packet. Upon review of the application packet, you will be notified within 4-6 weeks whether you will be invited to stage two, in which you will be asked to give a formal presentation of your work to the group. After this presentation, a group vote will determine whether you are invited to become a member.

Because the membership application fee is not refundable, we ask that you please read our frequently asked questions before sending in your application so that you are aware of the responsibilities and financial contributions required of all members.

CAFfeine makes every effort to keep the application process and membership fee structure transparent so that applicants are aware beforehand of what will be expected of them should they be selected. If you are not comfortable with our policies or are unable/unwilling to pay the fees, please do not apply.
