You can’t quite call them the “Dirty Dozen,” though many of them are often seen in public wearing paint-spattered clothing. The group of artists participating in the Pleased to Meet You event work in a broad range of styles and media, but the one thing they all have in common is a sense of curiosity about the world and the need to try to understand it by making art. They also share a willingness to explore ideas beyond the traditional interpretation of a “portrait,” evidenced by the breadth and variety of the work on display. ***During the reception, be sure to purchase a raffle ticket for your chance to become an "Instant Collector.” Each artist has contributed a small piece to the contest and the winner will walk away with all 12 original works to jumpstart their collection.
