I strive not to be paralyzed by this idea of how grand something has to be to be legitimate art. Each attempt to create a piece of art is a dare, a learning process, a chance to explore and experiment, to make mistakes and find solutions. This is not limited to the media- it includes my opinions, judgments, ethics, morals and emotions. Like starting fires just to watch others throw logs on them, I tend to provoke conversations, not engage in them - it’s the same with my art- I create a little spark hoping people will fuel it, moving it further along.
