Wasted Wine

CAFfeine was introduced to Freak Folk duo Robert Gowan and Adam Murphree - better known as Wasted Wine - when they served as the "backup band" at our first show. They've played every CAFfeine event since, including collaborations with the artists in December 2008 and coming up in November 2009. Both musicians play multiple instruments during their acoustic shows, and the lyrics of their original songs indicate that they are two fairly twisted individuals. In a good way. |

Joshua Bell is one of the world's greatest violinists. His instrument of choice is a multimillion-dollar Stradivarius. If he played it for spare change in the Washington subway, would people notice? This excellent article by Gene Weingarten shows what happened when Bell staged this "stunt" in 2007. |
